Although steel is not traditionally thought of as a precious metal, its versatility, toughness, and character make it ideal for body adornment.  We’ll cover a variety of techniques, including small-scale forging, twisting, filing, braze inlay, and patination.  Projects will start specific: a variety of bracelet and pendant forms will be covered, and then students will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned to a personal project.
