In this three day workshop students will complete a forged, hidden tang chef knife with either a western or eastern blade profile. All aspects of knifemaking will be covered including safety, tools, material selection and kitchen knife design theory. The blades will be 1084 carbon steel with a phenolic bolster and exotic or figured hardwood handle. Students should expect to complete one 6-7” chef knife. Beginner blacksmithing skills are strongly recommended but not necessary.
