In this three day workshop students will make a charmingly rustic hunting knife with a forged to finished blade, a forged and hot fit finger guard and a hardwood handle. Topics covered will be basic blade forging, hot punching, tool making and design theory and simple handles and guards. Each student should expect to leave with a finished knife ready to be put to work when hunting season rolls around. 


    Nick Rossi has been making knives since 1997 and has taught Bladesmithing since 2006. He operates Nick Rossi Knives out of his studio in Vassalboro Maine. Nick is not only passionate about making innovative, highly functional knives but also sharing the joy of this craft with others. He Journeyman in the American Bladesmith Society and a member of the New England Bladesmith Guild.
