Ever wondered how a slip joint folding knife works? Want to learn how to make one? Come join us for a 3-day class where we will talk about and make a basic slip joint knife.
This is an intermediate level fast paced class – participants are expected to know how to use common knife making tools such as a drill press, grinder, bandsaw, files, etc. and already know how to grind a knife.
We will be using O1 for blade steel and G10 for handle scales. All the relevant basics of heat treatment will be discussed and covered through a practical hands on approach. Students of the appropriate skill level can expect to leave with a finished Slip Joint.
Take a break from the summer heat in the amazing air conditioned Blade shop at the New England School of Metalwork !!
