Monday through Friday   9:00 to 3:30 for 13 Weeks

The 13 week Pipe Welding Program prepares a student for pipe certification following AWS and ASME Section IX welding codes. In the 13 week pipe welding program, students receive instruction in specific welding processes for Pipe, GTAW, and SMAW. In addition, students are also trained in oxy fuel and plasma cutting, carbon arc gouging, and the use of basic hand tools (grinders, fit-up tooling, etc.). The goal of this course is to have students prepared enough so that they are “ready to go” on the first day of employment. Other subjects covered in this course include but not limited to:

  • Print and Weld Symbols
  • Weld Inspection
  • Rigging Safety
  • AWS Code and Standards
  • Shop and Tool Safety

Individuals who exhibit sound welding skills are encouraged to take one or both of the pipe certification tests.
