If you already understand the basic mechanics of a slip joint but want to master advanced techniques like bolsters, liners, precision threading, and screw-together construction, this fast-paced course is for you. Moving away from traditional peened pins, this 5-day intensive class dives deep into engineered precision, hidden mechanisms, and high-end fit and finish.
Prerequisites (Important)This is an intermediate/advanced, fast-paced class. Participants must have prior slip joint making experience (such as the introductory class) and be highly proficient with a grinder, drill press, bandsaw, and files.

Mat has been Blacksmithing, Bladesmithing, and metalworking since 2016. He has attended many classes at NESM and other schools in the northeast region. He enjoys machining and making Damascus, knives (folding, kitchen, etc.) and swords.
